I’m a female, wife, and mother. I’m Software Quality Assurance engineer and the IT specialist. I was born deaf and grew up in Kazakhstan at times when no accommodations were available. It was the hardest part of my life, not to be able to hear, and not to be able to communicate.

I, my husband and our two kids moved to the U.S about six years ago. A couple of years ago, I had the CI surgery, which now helps me to hear the sounds, and I love it. I’m lucky to live in the era of digital communications, as this helps me to feel the connection with the community and the family.
